1. INTRODUCTION
OpenLib ("we", "us", "our") operates the OpenLib web application at
https://openlib-f7bf1.web.app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect,
use, and protect your information when you use our service.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

  a) Account Information
     When you sign in via Google or GitHub, we receive your display name,
     email address, profile photo URL, and unique user ID from the
     authentication provider. We do not receive or store your password.

  b) User-Generated Content
     Reviews, comments, edit requests, app submissions, and profile
     information you voluntarily provide.

  c) Usage Data
     We collect anonymous usage data through Google Analytics (GA4),
     including page views, session duration, device type, and browser.
     No personally identifiable information is sent to Google Analytics.

  d) App Interaction Data
     Votes (likes/dislikes), bookmarks, download clicks, and view counts
     are stored in Cloud Firestore and associated with your user ID.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

  - To provide and maintain the service
  - To display your public profile (name, photo) on reviews and submissions
  - To enable community features (voting, commenting, edit requests)
  - To improve the service through aggregated analytics
  - To enforce our Terms & Conditions and prevent abuse

4. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

  All data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore and Firebase Authentication,
  hosted on Google Cloud Platform. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and
  at rest. We implement Firestore Security Rules to restrict unauthorized
  access. We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information.

5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

  - Firebase Authentication (Google, GitHub sign-in)
  - Google Cloud Firestore (database)
  - Firebase Storage (logo uploads)
  - Firebase Hosting (web hosting)
  - Google Analytics 4 (anonymous usage analytics)

6. COOKIES

  We use essential cookies for authentication sessions managed by Firebase.
  Google Analytics may set cookies for analytics purposes. No advertising
  or tracking cookies are used.

7. YOUR RIGHTS

  You may:
  - View your data through your profile page
  - Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us
  - Opt out of Google Analytics by using browser extensions or settings

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

  OpenLib is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly
  collect personal information from children under 13.

9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

  We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on
  this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
